Bestmed provides cover for approximately 197 000 lives and offers a choice of 13 plan options. Premiums for a single member range from R1 710 to R8 642 and Pace 1 is the most popular option. The Beat Network range uses a network of hospitals which helps reduce premiums. Preventative care benefits are offered on all plan options. Pace 4 is suited for individuals and families requiring extensive medical cover. It offers unlimited hospital cover at a hospital of choice, with in-hospital specialist bills paid at 100%. Day to day claims are subject to savings and then from defined annual limits.

Day to day claims are payable from savings with some additional benefits available once savings have been exhausted. Optometry benefits are paid from risk.
