Bestmed

Bestmed provides cover for approximately 197 000 lives and offers a choice of 13 plan options. Premiums for a single member range from R1 760 to R8 642 and Pace 1 is the most popular option. The Beat Network range uses a network of hospitals which helps reduce premiums. Preventative care benefits are offered on all plan options. Annual contribution increases will be effective from 1st January 2022.


Pace 4

Pace 4 is suited for individuals requiring extensive medical cover. It offers unlimited hospital cover at a hospital of choice, with in-hospital specialist bills paid at 100%. Day to day claims are subject to savings and then from defined annual limits.

Pace 3 is suited for individuals and families requiring additional medical cover. It offers unlimited hospital cover at a hospital of choice, with in-hospital specialist bills paid at 100%. Day to day claims are subject to savings and then from defined annual limits.

Pace 2

Pace 2 is suitable for young families and individuals. It offers unlimited hospital cover at a hospital of choice, with in-hospital specialist bills paid at 100%. Day to day claims are payable from savings with some additional benefits available once savings have been exhausted. Optometry benefits are paid from risk.

Pace 1

Bestmed's Wellness Programme is designed to assist members in improving their health and well-being. The programme identifies possible risk factors, screening helps measure these risks and feedback is provided to assist members in improving their wellness and energy levels and therefore optimizing their health.
