When a stolen vehicle is taken to an undercover area like a warehouse, transport-container, or underground parking garage where standard satellite technology detection is ineffective, some tracking companies use Telematics to locate the vehicle. Their use of the cellular networks, amongst other technologies, allows them to triangulate a vehicle's position, even if it is parked in an underground parking
