The most recent award Hippo received was presented at the Bonitas Top Broker Awards ceremony held in March 2026. Platinum is the highest brokerage performance tier at the Bonitas Top Broker Awards, followed by Gold, Silver and Bronze. These awards recognise brokers based on performance, growth and sustainability.

Last year, in addition to the Top Broker Platinum Award, Hippo also received the Best Net Growth special award at the Bonitas ceremony, recognising net membership growth achieved during that year.

Medshield: National Top Performance (for 6 years in a row!)

Hippo received the Special Award for National Top Performance from Medshield at the 2025 Broker Imbizo series. 2025 marked six consecutive years of receiving this award, with 2020 being the first year we received this award. The Imbizo engagements are held across major cities in South Africa and bring together Medshield's broker partners to discuss strategic alignment and the delivery of consistent, quality healthcare cover to members.

The national top performance recognition reflects Hippo's performance nationwide, helping clients find suitable Medical Aid cover.

Discovery Health: Platinum Prestige

Hippo received the Discovery Health Platinum Prestige recognition in 2025. Discovery's Platinum Prestige tier recognises brokers that meet the highest performance standards within the Discovery Health scheme.
