Health Squared provides cover for approximately 45 000 lives and offers a choice of 8 plans options. Premiums for a single member range from R2 207 to R10 009. Annual contribution increases will be effective from 1st January 2022.

Cobalt is best suited for individuals requiring extensive medical cover. Whilst it offers unlimited hospital cover at a hospital of choice, planned PMB procedures are subject to a DSP hospital network. In-hospital specialist bills paid at 100%. Co-payments are applied to a comprehensive list of in-hospital procedures. Day to day claims are paid from a combination of a savings account and a risk benefit. Additional preventative care benefits are available through the Benefit Booster.

Millennium

Millennium is best suited for individuals requiring extensive medical cover. It offers unlimited hospital cover at a hospital of choice with in-hospital specialist bills paid at 100%. Co-payments are applied to a comprehensive list of in-hospital procedures. Day to day claims are paid from savings, a self payment gap and then from the above threshold benefit. Additional benefits are offered for preventative care through the Benefit Booster.

Prosper is best suited to young and healthy individuals. Whilst it offers unlimited hospital cover at a hospital of choice, planned PMB procedures are subject to a DSP hospital network. In-hospital specialist bills paid at 100%. Co-payments are applied to a comprehensive list of in-hospital procedures. Day to day claims are payable from available savings with additional risk benefits for GP visits, Primary Care Network Providers, basic dentistry and optometry.

Aspire

The is predominantly a hospital plan which is suitable for young and healthy individuals. It offers unlimited hospital cover at a hospital of choice, with in-hospital specialist bills paid at 100%. Co-payments are applied to a comprehensive list of procedures and a short list of in-hospital exclusions applies to this option. Joint replacements are only covered in the case of acute injury (Prescribed Minimum Benefits only). It offers some in and out of hospital specialised radiology benefits, Primary Care Network Providers (GP, physiotherapy, psychology), maternity and preventative care benefits.

Aspire Prime offers the same benefits as the Aspire options, but hospital cover is through a network of hospitals. This results in lower contributions.
